YLD leadership series - 18 november 2019

Are you enabling your teams to do their best work? YLD Leadership Series - in collaboration with Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business - bring you a series of workshops straight from Silicon Valley.

After a successful event with Francis Flynn, Professor of Organisational Behaviour at Stanford University in July 2019, we brought back the full-day workshops day for London’s top business executives on how to scale leadership excellence on the 18th November 2019.

The day contained four interactive sessions:

  • Leaders must be able to build strong relationships in order to get things done - what are the fundamental principles of cultivating these in the workplace?

  • You communicate with others every day, but how can you close gaps in your delivery and style in order to create better responses and attitudes?

  • Effective leaders are able to influence and persuade others. In this session, we’ll consider a number of effective tactics of interpersonal persuasion and analyse visual demonstrations of each approach

  • Leaders are constantly confronted with the need to negotiate and resolve conflicts. We’ll highlight common mistakes that lead negotiators to “leave value on the table” and discuss principles for negotiating effectively over the long-term.

Francis Flynn, Professor of Organisational Behaviour at Stanford University led a full workshop day for London’s top business executives on how to scale leadership excellence on the 8th July 2019.

The day was made up of four interactive sessions on topics such as:

  • Ever trusted your gut too much or over complicated a decision? This session will discuss approaches for reaching effective decisions on a regular basis.

  • We all know meetings are necessary but can be frustrating and inefficient. In this session you will learn techniques to better harness the collective wisdom of your team.

  • How do you motivate your team to perform when you are not around? Learn about several psychological levers that can help you build employee motivation in a more sustainable way.

  • Everyone talks about fostering collaboration, but how do you really build a collaborative culture?
